A Day Trip to Granbury

We decided to take a one day trip down to Granbury to visit my grandparents and my great grandparents. My mom was so sweet to drive us all down and back. Here's Kynnedi with her great grandfather. They have such a sweet relationship. We're so blessed to have family who's still really healthy and in great spirits.
My grandfather, my mom, and Kynnedi working on a holiday puzzle. I remember going to my grandparents home when I was little and working on the same puzzle. It was such a sweet memory. I'm really glad my girls are getting to share the same memories with the same people.

This is my sweet great grandmother, Ma-Maw. She's 92nd and such a dear. My grandparents are now taking care of her full time and are doing such a wonderful job. My great grandmother was wanting to help with lunch and she was making a salad. I can remember her in her kitchen making us such delicious meals. Now it's to hard for her to stand for a long time. She just broke her hip this summer. I LOVE my time with her. I love hearing her stories and encouraging words. It's like a history book right in front of me.

The girls loved their surprise from my grandmother when they got there.

Ms. Olivia on her rocking horse. I loved this smile and her expression. Ride 'em cowgirl!!

Thanksgiving Round One and a 75th Birthday Party

This was our first Thanksgiving in our new home. We were blessed to host my side of the family for dinner the weekend before Thanksgiving. It was so much fun getting everything ready and then getting to serve everyone. The Lord has blessed me beyond measure with such a gracious and wonderful family. We ended up putting two tables together so that we could have enough room for everyone. I loved it that we all ate together instead of spread out in different rooms. The sweet kids table. My cousin, Leslie, Savannah, Olivia, and Kynnedi.
The whole bunch we had for Thanksgiving 2009. We greatly missed my cousin Matt, who passed away last December. He was only 21 years old and had brain cancer. He's now home with our Lord and someday we're all be together again.

Savannah took this picture of Kynnedi and I thought it turned out so cute. Kynnedi was showing off her ring. I thought it was to funny.

Kynnedi took this picture of Savannah. This is such a great picture of her. Here is her normal smile, we all love and adore.

We also celebrated my grandmother's 75th Birthday that afternoon. We had a wonderful party for her to celebrate such a special day. I loved hosting everyone! Here's part of the table we put together for her party. The flowers turned out better then I could imagine. We put up old pictures around the house and decorated with all fall colors: golds, oranges, reds, and browns.

The beautiful birthday cake, my sweet sister Haley got for her party. WE loved it! She was able to get it at Cretia's in Duncanville. We're a huge fan of all their cakes. So yummy!

My sister, Haley, and Kynnedi during the birthday party. Haley was wonderful. She came over all weekend and helped me with whatever I needed done at that time. She was such a servant that she even helped clean my bathrooms with Kynnedi and Savannah. Thank you for all your help and encouragement. I love you Haley!!

My sweet grandparents. My grandmother who's birthday party it was didn't want to stand up by herself. I love my grandparents very much and I'm so blessed to have them in my family's life.
My wonderful husband, who didn't fuss once about us hosting all these events. He was a huge help and support. I love this picture of him. He's so handsome. I love you sweetheart!!

Last, but not least....the girls. They have such a great time together. I'm sorry for not having a lot of pictures of Ms. Olivia, but she was napping for most of the afternoon. This was just the beginning of our wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. There's so much more to come. Hope everyone had a blessed and encouraging Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for!!

Saturday Randomness

Happy Saturday to you!! We've had a great, but busy day. The Lord has blessed me today with new and exciting things. We're having Thanksgiving at our home tomorrow with my side of the family. I'm so excited to have everyone come to our home and visit. I bought this candle from Walmart and added a little ribbon. I think it turned out really well. It definitely added something to it. I had the feeling to get crafty so I had this mirror in the master bathroom and just added a little bow. I think it turned out so cute. One of the best things that happened today was my sweet Aunt Char from Oklahoma came and visited us. The girls just fell in love with her. She devoted her whole morning to them. I'm so thankful to had such a wonderful visit and for my girls to make sweet memories with her.

We had a Ward Band going on today. Savannah playing the piano and mommy, Olivia playing the guitar. My mom came over and we learned some Thanksgiving songs. We laughed and sang for a long time. It was so much fun!!

It was so sweet, Kynnedi makes her bed in the morning, but this morning she wanted to take a picture of it. I thought it was so precious I just had to post it. Thank you Lord for a wonderful day of memories and great relationships.

Turkey Friday

Happy Friday everyone!! We had a great, great day today. My dear friend, Heather and her children came over today for our school and play date. Since Thanksgiving is next week Heather brought over two really CUTE crafts and some books. We read a wonderful story of the first thanksgiving and then made these sticker Indians. The kids really enjoyed doing this craft. It was great because there was a boy and girl Indian. Kynnedi was still working on hers when I took this picture. The next craft Heather did was making turkey place mats. They're going to be too cute. We painted the kids hands and then put them on a piece of paper. I'm so excited to have them out for Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you Heather for all the help and great ideas!! Here's Olivia with her finished project. She had so much fun. I think she thinks she's as big as the other kids.

Hailey with her cute picture. She was an old pro at all the crafts today. What a sweetheart.

Savannah showing off her painted hands and her creation. She really had a great time doing this project. She's my child who really likes getting dirty. Some days I find her in the kitchen painting her hands just because. ha ha

Brenden and his project. He was Mr. Funny man today. It was so cute to watch him make all the girls laugh. Oh boy, they did laugh and laugh. He's so much fun.

I wanted to show everyone the process of all of it. Olivia had to be sitting on the table watching and touching everything. Heather was so patient and kind to help all the kids with everything.
Kynnedi with her finished craft. She LOVES doing all this fun stuff. She couldn't wait till the Adler's got to our home today because she knew we would be doing school stuff with them. Mrs. Heather always brings the coolest stuff to do. Thank you for all your great ideas and words of encouragement today. WE love our time with you, the Adler family.

Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday to Me!!

Yesterday was my birthday and it was an amazing day. I had so much fun hanging out with my sweet family. For lunch, my wonderful mother-in-law brought over Whataburger for us. She said,"I wanted today to be easy for you." It was so nice not having to think about what to make or then having to clean up afterward. She blessed me so much. I got so many sweet cards and phone calls. I felt so loved. Tim took me out to dinner just the two of us. We talked and talked all night long, until I started feeling really bad. I started running a fever and we came home early. I was totally bummed because he was going to take me shopping after dinner. Oh, well!! It was a great day. I have so much to be thankful for in my life: 28 years of good health and a family who I love dearly. My sweet husband surprised me with these flowers for my birthday. It was so much fun to go to the front door and find them there waiting. I had no idea and it was a complete surprise. They're my favorite colors and it'll help decorate my home for Thanksgiving this weekend.

A sweet baby shower I helped hostess.

This past Saturday I helped host a baby shower for some dear friends from church. It was so much fun organizing everything and then getting to see it all come together. I had a great time with everyone who was apart of it. The flower arrangement was on the main table and I found some frames in my house and printed out some things on cute scrapbook paper. We put the frames all around the shower. I think it helped add a little something to it.This is my sweet friend, Kendra Manna. She's having her first baby on Christmas day. Can you imagine? They're naming her Elizabeth Grace. I just love the name!! Kendra and her husband Ben work with Tim and we have gone on several double dates with them. They're so precious!
Okay, this picture wasn't apart of the shower. I'm going to figure out how to delete one of these days. It's just not today. ha ha

My sweet friend Mrs. P wanted to have a blessing ring for the shower. I made one and then also got some scrapbook paper and a frame from my house and set up a table.

Tim and I wanted to do something special for them as a present. My dear friend Robin Bass made the canvas for her nursery. It matches her bedding exactly and this is the verse they wanted to have read to her daily. I'm so happy with how it turned out. Thank you Robin!!

This was part of the shower with all the food. We had it at church and there were a lot of bare walls sooo....I brought a lot of things from my girls rooms to decorate it up. I think it turned out so cute.
Here's all the people that made this shower possible. We had two home groups helping put it together. I had more fun hanging-out with all these people then the actually shower. We laughed and laughed the whole day. I love you guys!!

Mrs. Kendra's big present was from our good friend Jim. He made her this cradle and it's so beautiful. Kendra just cried because it's so special. The whole day was really a great day.

Another Craft

Thank you Mrs. Ashley for the new blog design. I LOVE it!!! I'm excited because our new family pictures match the blog so perfectly. You had a great idea. Thank you so much for putting it all together. If anyone is needing a new blog design, Mrs. Ashley is wonderful!!! I made this blessing ring for two sweet friends. I went to their wedding shower on Sunday and had so much fun visiting and catching up with everyone. I was really excited about how it turned out. She wanted one to put in her bedroom. I got done with it and both Tim and I thought,"Wow, we might need one for our bedroom as well." I'm so happy for Jeremy and Amanda. They're getting married very soon and are a very sweet couple.
Happy Tuesday!!!

Friday Night Fun!!

Friday night was so much fun!! I was able to hang-out with my close friends from Dallas Baptist University. I was able to go to school there for three years and it was amazing. The Lord provided me so quickly with wonderful friends. It was a special time in my life where I wanted a great group of girl friends. The Lord blessed me greatly with this group of women. There are many from this group missing from the picture below. Kristy, Kim, Rachel, and I had a wonderful time talking and catching up. We sat and talked for almost three hours. It was priceless. Sorry, mistake on posting the wrong picture.

Rachel and Kim showing me their dinners. It was so funny how big the chicken fried steaks were, I just had to take a picture. They are both due really soon. I'm so excited to meet the new baby girls. I'm praying for a safe and healthy delivery. Is that mac'n'cheese also??? hehe

Random Pictures of the girls this weekend!

This weekend we went to our sweet friends house in Palmer. They have a beautiful home and tons of land. In our backyard in this new house I don't have any plants. My friend, Edith, wanted to give us tons of plants to put in the backyard. The whole family went out to their land to dig up plants and spend the day together. My sweet friend Edith and Olivia. We're so blessed to have people in our lives who love our girls so much. Mark and Edith treat the girls like their own grandchildren. They pray for them and help me whenever there's a need. Olivia had so much fun just running and running around their property.

Savannah loved riding and driving Mark's tracker.

Kynnedi was a huge helper while we were digging up the plants. She had so much fun outside hanging-out. She dressed herself because she said, "Mom this is my digging outfit. Just look at my boots." Way to cute!!

Savannah outside eating some snacks.

Kynnedi showing off her first hop scotch. She made it all by herself, the blocks and numbers in order. I had no idea she knew what to do. I wanted to take a picture because she was so proud of herself and I was too.

Crafty Week

This week has been super busy with projects, but I've loved every minute of it. I have a baby shower on Saturday morning and I made this blessing ring. The baby's name is Elizabeth Grace. Her colors are light greens and pinks. I was really happy with how this turned out. Here's another picture of the blessing ring. I hope all the blessings from the shower will encourage and draw her to the Lord one day.
My sweet friend, Heather, showed me this last week how to make bows. We have a business together and it would help her out if I knew how to do this. Plus, it was so much fun! I just love bows. Heather and I made some for the girls for fall.

This is another bow we made for fall time. Thank you Heather for being so patient and helpful. I think they turned out awesome. I can't wait to make some Christmas bows for my little girls.
